Also in the order of kitty blogs I bring you

Smushy Faced Kitties

and

Gato Poder

Okay so I like kitties! And no I don’t have one, nor particularily want one – but they’re so fun to look at!  You should see my collection of ceramic kitties.

2 things

ok excuse the pose, i was pretending to be holding a dachshund!

I have 2 wonderful things to share with you.

1. I got my haircut! At a fancy salon! FOR FREE! You can to by meeting a stylist in training at salonapprentice.com

2. That shirt! I made it Friday night and I love it. Its an american apparel shirt I got a grease stain on so I stole the bleach shirt idea from my ex-roommate Paul Nelson and used a method similar to the “punk rock tie-dying” found in this video

Seriously try that last project. So fun! Near instant gratification!

Hard to Restart

Once I’m rolling, I can go with the momentum and really MOVE.. but getting started is SO hard for me. And REstarting? Forget it! Two years ago I was a total gym nut, in the best shape of my life and I hoped I would never stop. But sure enough I did and now I keep trying to go again, and I do go at least twice a week, but its not that fire I once had. I’m still trying though. Now I’m trying to start doing my photo work again, which is a lot more important than going to the gym. I’m not overly excited about these images, but I am glad that I made them and it feels good. I’ll be doing two more shoots this weekend, hopefully I’ll love them even more!

10,000 B.C.

OMG. This movie is incredible. I don’t want to hype it up too much, because movies with a lot of hype rarely live up to it.. but I seriously, SERIOUSLY loved this movie. Maybe it was just the attachment I’ve had with the time period through reading the Clan of the Cave Bear series.. but they did a damn fine job if I do say so myself. I just want to go buy some deer hides and start wearing them wrapped around me, now thats some SERIOUS vintage clothing!

halloween and homes

My Rochester home is on the market.. it looks amazing. If anyone you know whats to buy a home in Rochester please, pass this listing along. ❤ 352 Woodbine ❤

Nico came out for the weekend. I haven’t partied until 4am in… well I don’t know if I ever have, I’ve never been that hardcore about partying and I’d just go home when I got tired! It was surely a blast.

Halloweek cast call?

She buys plates at vintage stores and reglazes them. I wish I had a kiln…

Firsts

I’m just finishing up my trip in Daytona Beach. Family is a good thing but I’m excited to get back and start working on my web-sites etc.

During the trip I’ve read “The God of Animals” by Aryn Kyle and “Me Talk Pretty One Day” by David Sedaris, both of which were enjoyable but made me feel like a very boring personality.

I’ve also spent a lot of time on craftster.org bookmarking things to do once I’ve returned home. I think this little green dress will be one of the first on my list.

I also hope to use this pattern on BurdaStyle.com to reconstruct a t-shirt I bought in Rochester. Yeah, the reconstructing t-shirts thing is long past, but it’s just too great of a shirt and unwearable as is. I’ll make it work, just you wait!

I’ve also sworn to teach myself quilting (hah) and inspired by a coworker from the levis days I want to make myself a loom and relearn how to weave.
